Motivation:
The mobile content and value-added services ecosystem in South Africa is at a pivotal moment. As consumer expectations evolve and regulatory scrutiny intensifies, there is a growing need for transparent, ethical, and innovative leadership.

I am standing for the WASPA Board to contribute to that leadership.

My motivation is threefold:

  • Promote industry-wide compliance and trustAt Digital Virgo, I oversee the implementation of global Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) standards across multiple markets. These include fraud prevention tools, fully controlled media buying, responsible marketing, and best-in-class customer care. I believe these practices should inform and uplift the entire local ecosystem.
  • Represent operational excellence and market collaborationHaving led deployments and partnerships with every major operator in South Africa and beyond, I bring a pragmatic, cross-functional view — from commercial strategy to technical execution and customer support.
  • Promote diversity and international best practices

With roots in Africa, Asia, and Europe, and a professional background covering Francophone and Anglophone markets, I understand the value of local adaptation balanced with global foresight. I aim to be a voice that bridges those perspectives on the WASPA Board.
Ultimately, I believe that a healthy mobile content industry depends on protecting users while enabling sustainable innovation. I want to contribute to shaping that future.
