Kaymin is an admitted South African Attorney and Australian Solicitor with experience in governance, regulatory compliance, and ethical oversight in technology-driven environments and is currently completing a PhD in Biotechnology at the University of Cape Town on scholarship, which informs her work at the intersection of advanced technology, ethics, and regulation.
As an AI Data Privacy expert at NTT Data Inc, Kaymin advises on AI governance, privacy-by-design, and regulatory risk within complex, data-intensive systems.
Kaymin also serves as Chairperson of CONNECT, a non-profit organisation that uses mobile and messaging-based technologies to support digital inclusion and economic participation in township communities; providing legal and governance oversight for projects that enable consumers to order essential goods via mobile channels, with fulfilment supported by licensed local taxi operators and community drivers. The role involves careful consideration of consumer protection, responsible use of mobile data services, payment and identity risk, and regulatory compliance, and has provided deep experience in board leadership, risk management, and engagement across diverse stakeholders in resource-constrained environments.
Kaymin has been actively involved with WASPA since 2023 as an adjudicator, providing insight into the organisation, its members, and the challenges that arise for both members and consumers.
