Back to School – Tips for parents on online safety
There is no denying that our children are ‘digital natives’ – as they have not only gotten accustomed to using mobile phones and tablets from an early age, but technology has permeated their lives, in an out of school. Studies suggest that children and teens ages eight and older spend an average of 44.5 hours each week in front of digital displays.
Now more than ever, parents have to stay on top of all the security tips as their children spend more time online. As they head back to school, it is even more critical for parents to explore ways to ensure their children can not only reap the benefits of mobile access, but ensure that it is a safe experience.
