Jacqui Jones Elected as New Management Committee Member

WASPA welcomes Jacqui Jones as the newest member to the self regulated body’s Management Committee.
Jacqui, has over 10 years experience as part of the Management Team at Worldplay (Pty) Ltd, and brings invaluable knowledge of the VAS- and Mobile market to the organization.

WASPA’s constitution provides for a Management Committee, which has defined responsibilities and duties and manages the day-to-day affairs of the association. The members of the Management Committee (Mancom) are elected by WASPA’s members at the Annual General Meeting.

In the event of an elected member tendering resignation from Mancom at any time during his/her tenure, the constitution provides for an electronic by-election process by which a new member is elected.

Jacqui was elected to the Management Committee at the recent by-election held on 12th June 2015, and will be assuming the position of Chair of the Finance Portfolio, an area where her current role as Operations Manager will no doubt be advantageous to us.
